U21 footballers beat reigning county champions NCW to reach semi final

December 4, 2015

Our U21 footballers had a massive win last night over Newcastlewest which sees them progress to the county semi final. Our 2 goals came from Shane O'Connor and Robbie Bourke in the opening half - giving us an 8 point cushion at the interval.

Playing against the wind in the second half, we knew we'd have our backs to the wall. We defended with everything we had - players tracked, harried, hassled and fought for everything, never giving NCW a chance to close the gap. We tacked on some great points from Shane Costelloe and Hugh Bourke and these truly sealed the victory.

Stay tuned for fixture details for the county semi final and be sure to be there - these boys are going all the way and you don't want to miss seeing them do their thing.
